Introduction to Thai NTC Certification
The National Communications Commission of Thailand has set clear regulatory restrictions on telecommunications equipment, telecommunications terminal equipment and wireless products. From July 1, 2008, telecommunications equipment, telecommunications terminal equipment, and telecommunications terminal equipment, The existing mandatory specifications for mobile communication products will be expanded to wireless related products.
NTC authentication mode
Certification will be required in the following three modes. The classification of the product must be determined before the applicable authentication mode can be determined:
Class A Mode
Class A products must be tested in the NTC-designated laboratory and provided with NTC-required data to obtain a login number and certification certificate.
Class B Mode
The authentication process is the same as the Class A product category, but can use foreign reports such as FCC, CE, CB. .. .. The authentication application for the transfer mode must also obtain the registration number and certification certificate.
SDoC compliance declaration mode(Supplier? S Decision of Commitment(SDoC)
This part of the product certification is a voluntary model. It must be completed by the customer's local representative in Thailand and sent to the NTC for reference with technical documents.
Application for certification requires a local representative and the local representative must have a Supplier Code and apply in Thai.
Basically, the authentication time is 4 to 5 weeks. The sample demand is required in Class A. It must be provided when Class B is sometimes required for compliance review, and the SDoC model is not required.
Among them, WiFi products(such as 802.11 b/g or 802.11 a / b/g) are classified as SDoC. Although NTC announced in 2003 that 2.4 GHz products had an output power below 100mW, it can be exempted from type recognition. However, this rule will be changed after July 2008. WiFi products can only be imported to Thailand after confirming that their products meet NTC technical requirements. Manufacturers are required to check the declaration letter and related compliance documents when customs clearance.
