Toy EN71 Certification Introduction
EN71 is the standard for toy products in the EU market. EN71 Certification Test Scope
The toy instruction applies to any product or material designed for use or intended for play by children under the age of 14.
Mechanical and physical properties; Combustion performance; Transfer of certain elements; Chemical related experimental devices; Non-experimental chemical toys; The icon of the age warning mark; Finger paints: colorants, preservatives, migration of specific elements, primary aromatics, olfactory and taste tests, pH values, product information including agents, additives, wetting agents, and surfactants; Organic chemical compounds: flame retardants, perspiration fastness, colorants, primary aromatic amines, monomer migration, solvent transport, solvent inhalation, wood preservatives, non-wood preservatives, plasticizers, toxicity assessment, pH, formaldehyde.
In addition, for electric toys, including battery-driven toys and toys with AC/DC conversion power supply. In addition to the Toys General Standard EN71 test, electromagnetic compatibility tests are also conducted, involving: EMI(electromagnetic radiation) and EMS(electromagnetic perturbation).
