Japanese PSE Certification Introduction
PSE certification is a mandatory safety certification in Japan to prove that electrical and electronic products have passed the safety standard test of the Japan Electrical and Raw Material Safety Law(DENAN Law) or the International IEC standard. The Japanese DENTORL Act(Electrical Devices and Materials Control Act) stipulates that 498 products must pass safety certification when entering the Japanese market. Among them, 165 Class A products should have a diamond PSE logo, and 333 Class B products should have a circular PSE logo.

The 165 category A product types are as follows:
Wire and cable, Fuse, wiring equipment(electrical accessories, lighting appliances, etc.), ballasts, Transformers, ballasts
Electrothermal appliances, Electrodynamic mechanical appliances(household appliances), electronic mechanical appliances(high frequency depilators)
Other electrical mechanical equipment for AC(electroshock insecticide, DC power supply device), carrying engine
333 Class B products are divided into 7 parts:
1. Simple wiring casings and wiring boxes;
2. Simple phase motor between 100V-300V;
3. Household electric thermal products;
4. Home electric or video games;
5. Civil or household products using light sources;
6. Home and commercial electronics;
7. Other electrical products in 100V-300V.
PSE Certification Data Preparation
1. Application for Submission of Information: Business License, Application Form;
2. Test preparation information:
1) CB report(including Japan's difference test);
2) Layout;
3) PCB design drawings related to safety regulations;
4) Specification for Transformer and coil parts;
5) a list of key components and their certificates;
6) Japanese manual or assembly manual;
7) Japanese nameplate and warning sign(including PSE logo and notification of supplier name);
(8) Structural data sheets;
9) a list and calibration certificate used in factory production, etc..
3. Test to provide samples: at least two main inspection models, one for each derived model.
PSE certification cycle
4-6 weeks(complete information, samples do not need to be corrected);

Class A diamond has 3 years, 5 years, 7 years(see product)
Class B round with 1, 2, 3 years(see product)
